Tet Offensive = Pyrric Victory

Not exactly I don't think. The north vietnamese and viet cong were decimated by the tet offensive, it was a complete military loss. However, through propoganda they won the information war. America was convinced that we'd lost somehow. That is sort of the template the terrorists and insurgents are using now. They know they cannot beat us militarily, just as Rumsfeld said a few days ago, but they can beat us propogandically, but using our media to fake stories, or exaggerate their damage and effectiveness, and thus convince America that the situation is unwinnable just like in vietnam, even though that was far from the case. In this way, I think the tet analogy is spot on.Other analysis: http://tigerhawk.blogspot.com/2006/10/george-w-bushs-admission-and-tet.html

They may not be able to beat us strategically no, that is just numbers vs numbers, but us having to maintain a constant military presence for the unforseeable future is a loss in my opinion.Anyways, with the way this country is running scared and we are becoming a police state, we have lost this war a while ago.....
