FTA "A report by the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has stated that 18 per cent of greenhouse gases are coming from animal agriculture - meat and dairy, used in making burgers. "While 18% is certainly significant, it hardly counts as "Most of Global Warming." Further that is for all of the livestock industry, not just burgers.Further, while vegetarian burgers have a much lower impact, they are still not carbon neutral. These kinds of overstatements are not helpful since they are easy to discredit and thereby put all of climate science under a cloud of suspicion. 18% is significant enough on it's own, it does not need to be exagerated.
