Govsucks,You sound like a very angry person about things in general. I would point all that anger towards the Federal Reserve and the rest of the puppets in Congress. They are the reason for this mess in the economy, not California.

Why?

Exactly my thoughts. We're huge in debt right now, even cutting deep into education money, and the tax rate is already going to be over 10%, which is ridiculously high and much more so than the rest of the states in the US. We can't afford this!

@caramba420Not that it matter much, but it was 5000 USD."The companies were each fined $5,000, and the directors were each fined one dollar."<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Streetcar_Scandal">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Street ...</a>

Why in the hell did you guys vote for this stupid train. Don't you know our state is broke ? Do you also realize that this project will end up costing probably half a trillion dollars and won't be operational for most likely 15 years ? The state would have to buy up private property to make way for this train. Take a look at the 105 and 210 fwys. Those projects took almost 20 years to come through. Jeez guys, use some common sense.

California should perhaps "progressively" learn to live within its budget constraints instead of proposing asinine projects like this when they're already obscenely in debt.

I imagine how much power that monster uses. Electricity is going to get only expensive in the future, so it's actually a good idea to start making your own power now. How? Using windmills and solar panels. Find out more here > <a class="user" href="http://makeyourownwindmill.net">http://makeyourownwindmill.net</a>
