timmatheson.com— Tim Matheson has a simple and elegant "how to" on making a portable magstripe reader. This is sweet for those of us too cheap to buy the real stuff. Including me. Digg Away!!

"inspiration" and out-and-out plagiarism are quite different. It doesn't matter if he credited the source in one brief line, he's still taking advantage of another person's work for personal gain (note the prominent banner ad on the right).
Tim MathesonLet’s state the facts.First and foremost I did in fact give credit to redbird and 2600 magazine for the article notice the first sentence.Second I spoke with arseny from 2600 and he said "It would be fine to post the article as long as I didn’t copy an entire issue then no harm done".Third I did copy and paste the article from the above aforementioned source ONLY I WAS NICE ENOUGH TO INCLUDE THE CREDIT AND NEVER CLAIMED TO HAVE WROTE IT.I do not blog for profit I only run a few select banner ads to pay for hosting my site.I would just like to say if all of you haters would just spend more time finding content and less time dissecting my blog entries then you too could be as well hated as I.The main reason I didn’t link to www.sephail.net is they failed to give credit to redbird and I felt that was wrong. That is why I duplicated the article and gave props to the real author. Where as he only mentioned it "This is the article text as it appears in the spring 2005 issue of 2600 Magazine." and failed to mention the author. So all you cry babies can retort when your keyboards dry out from all your tears to see your friend have the exact same thing happen to him as he did to 2600 magazine. I just did it better and that is why Google ranks my article before his. Sorry to beat him to it but that’s the beauty of epublishing may the best blogger win. You should be directing your arguments to www.sephail.net for copying the article word for word from 2600 22:1 thanks for saving me the trouble.Cheers
