allheadlinenews.com — Conservative Pat Buchanan during an on-air interview said that a war with Iran would be in the near future should Republican candidate Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) be elected president in 2008."You get John McCain in the White House, and I do believe we will be at war with Iran," Buchanan said.

Is Pat suggesting an angry neocon mormon scientologist male model instead of McCain? I often like Pat, but you have to think of the choice you're offered here. They'll both go to war with Iran if the Straussians tell them to.

Who does Buchanan support then? Not Romney the tax-raising flip-flopper!

I don't know. It seems like a pretty muddled issue. Pat has some old associations with conservatives. He's not a pompous ass neoconservative like Rush limbaugh in any way. He certainly despises neocons generally. But isn't he kindof an old school conservative to some degree? He's also got some populist in him and some appreciation for the working man. Is that why you say he's republican and not conservative? I know I like Pat, and I like his politics more than I like lou dobbs, but I think dobbs has some secret neocon in him, kindof alot. I like Ron Paul, but he's more of a paleo/libertarian republican. What I know is right now, I hate most people who are in republican politics right now and I dislike most people that call themselves conservatives, but I think most of both are neocons. I like Pat, Ron, and... not many others. Sorry for going all stream of consciousness on you there. I have no conclusions.
