You can use KTorrent in GNOME or XFCE or whatever.

Of course, but then you have to deal with the slower startup speed (which happens when running any Qt application in Gnome) and alien look-and-feel in the widgets.I think Deluge has made tremendous progress in a relatively short amount of time, and I like the way it's headed. It's already become my BitTorrent client of choice, and I have rather picky tastes.
