Why not fired instead of resigned. If the republican party wants to regain any of the respect they've lost, why aren't they firing these guys instead of accepting resignations.

The Democrats have consistently been pushing for MORE veterans benefits. If you paint with a broad brush like that, you let the bad get away with their crimes -- since there is no advantage to doing the right thing, when voters don't notice.

I guess the fact that the VA doesn't oversee Walter Reed (a US Army medical center overseen ultimately by by the US Army Surgeon General) has escaped everyone. Oh well, who cares about the facts, its a good story.

your joking right? Benefits for veterans have been s**t for a hell of a long time. Democrats have screwed us over, republicans have screwed us over, independents have screwed us over.Though Bush has raised our benefits from piss poor to totally unacceptable. My governor has screwed Veterans in my state over more than anyone in the federal government.
