flickr.com — This brave man walked through the ant-health care crowd with his large poster and was immediately set upon by the crowd. One person spit on him, while others pushed and tried to grab his flag until the police intervened. Most of the crowd around him turned on him like rabid dogs, yelling epithets and things like commie, why dont you leave this coun

Holy s**t, what a horrible, ridiculous comparison.

Give me 45% of whatever is in your wallet. No? Do you like the idea of the IRS having access to your health records? No?You must be greedy then.

"uneducated racists bigots"I'm so tired of people doing this. OH NO HE HATES OBAMA HE'S A RACIST OH LAWDY. It's racist to assume that criticism of Obama is driven by racism because you're seeing Obama in a black persona instead of as president. There are lots of people that hate Obama because he's racist*, but you're an absolute partisan fool for thinking that you can pass them off as racist* for disagreeing with you. It's tacky and no different than what we've been doing for too long in this country. You're a part of the problem, not the solution.

if they could think for themselves they would be for health care reform. they're only against it because fox news is telling them how to think.

I thought the public option was a form of insurance that would still cost money. These people don't even know what they are protesting against. I blame Fox News for distorting the truth.

Well it looks like you just dove head first in the hornets nest. I agree with what you said though but as a Canadian I learned that Americans don't care what other countries think of them even though they live on the same planet as us.

@Zong "In the Free Market each dollar counts as a vote and the more money you have the more votes you have"The problem is in the current system, denial of coverage = more money aka votes saved for insurance. Limiting coverage is in their best interest, people going untreated is in their best interest, people with previous conditions not being covered is in their best interests. It is market failure.

Maybe a good start would be to not allow free market ideologies to play any role in something that should not at the outset be about profit. My life should not be a commodity. Emergency services are for the most part socialized as it would be havoc if they were for profit ventures. What do you do if someone from out of state becomes victimized? They never paid taxes for the state they are in now, so they would not be entitled to services unless paid for out of pocket. If you don't believe that, they you do not understand how corporations work (speaking generally squidandwhale). And that is just one example. There are certain things that should not be about the bottom line and only the bottom line.
