It doesn't matter what she does, no point in spending tax payer dollars on Russell Brand, some stupid c**k sucking TV show with two of the biggest douches in history.
>Is it because people expect 'better' from the BBC?Basically yes. The BBC is paid for by the British people via the licence fee. It is supposed to be a public service broadcaster. People generally expect higher standards from it than other broadcasters so many of them get rather upset when this type of bad behaviour occurs. The phone call wasn't funny (pathetic might be a better term), and humiliating an old man is fundamentally wrong. The story has taken on a life of its own here because of the huge number of complaints (over 35,000) made to the BBC but it doesn't change the fact that the people involved need to be punished.
The BBC isn't funded with tax, it's a licence. It's not paid in dollars, it's sterling. And it wasn't a TV show, it was a radio programme.Frankly, you're starting to sound like the problem here - ignorant manipulated faux outrage about an incident you didn't witness. Drowning in misplaced indignation carefully fed to you by underhanded bottom-feeder reporters who rely on gullible middle-class reactionaries. Proud of yourself?
Woss is a disaster, and not even funny. neither is Brand. Get rid of them both, and bring back the Radio 2 producer, who did not deserve to have to resign. Mr. Thompson needs his arse kicking, and should resign now together with Ross.

I don't much care for Brand, and Ross can be childish at times as well. However, it was all blown up out of proportion
