The patch shows a film reel, a music CD and the international copyright symbol, a "C" enclosed in a circle. The movie industry has developed the curriculum.

not only is this just sad but it also is a display f the fact that parents are no longer willing to educate their own children. when you have to turn to an agency to explain to your own children that theft is wong then it means that you are a totally lazy person.

I am an eagle scout and volunteer my time as an assistant scoutmaster and I have heard nothing about this badge.

The title of this article is inaccurate. It should read:"Boy scouts to get merit badge for lying about not downloading music/movies".

While I agree with the stupidity of this badge, I would suggest you may want to rethink your position on Scout Leaders being one myself I can definitely say I am none of the following: a gay basher, pedophile and I am not a closed-minded christian fundamentalist, in fact I am an Atheist. Oh and FYI I have 4 Girls in my troop. Just thought you should know the facts before you start typing totaly childish comments on the web!
