AppleTV is not that bad.1. All your music on one box, scrolling through it on your TV. No more 300-disc cd changers, no more tiny ipod attached to my stereo. I can see it and control it from across the room, just like the rest of my stereo components.2. the perfect bittorrent set-top box. you guys mean you actually watch downloaded stuff at your computer? or burn it to dvd first?AppleTV was worth every penny if only for getting all my music to my main stereo.
"Owned" and "ran by" are two different things. Hulu may be owned by NBC and Fox, but it was developed and is administered and ran by a team of people like us who do get it, and their delicate relationship with their superiors is what made Hulu possible in the first place. Obviously there's a reason NBC and Fox think they want this, both Hulu and boxee are talking to them right now about what it is and how they can resolve it. This is kinda like when you offer to upgrade your dad/grandpa/older uncle to a newer OS and they're reluctant because they fear change. You just have to explain that it's alright and they'll still get their work done, and probably even faster. It took my dad like 4 years to switch from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768.

The ignorance of you is astonishing. People don't want to watch tv on their computer monitors, they want it on their tv's.

My torrenting has slowed to a crawl because of Hulu. I can't even remember the last thing I downloaded, might have been a song my dad wanted.
