Won't it? I've seen CoreAVC smoothly play 1080p MKV files without any dropped frames on some pretty weak systems, although I'm not sure if it's possible with the Athlon 2650e that comes by default with the Zino. I'm going to assume that it can since Dell offers a Blu-Ray upgrade.Still, if it's not possible now, Dell's bottom-rung mini-system this time next year will certainly be able to play all available 1080p content, and I think the benefits of a full Windows install outweigh the short-term convenience of plugging in an expensive dedicated media set-top box.
if you have to spend another $100 you might as well go all the way with a $400-$500 htpc. $300-$500 is just not a good price point to be in for that kind of device, sony had to learn this the hard way. too expensive for the low end, and does not do enough to make it worth the restrictions. the thing that makes others so successful and gives boxee a chance is that $200 price bracket. only kids would consider media exclusive to one device or another as a selling point, to conscious consumers spending their own money this is just a limitation that brings the value down.
Agreed that 99 bucks is about right but I just got that Insignia blueray at Best Buy for 99 bucks that does Netflix. What will Boxee give me above that other than Hulu?

Bulls**t. A Dalibox would have runny corners and elephant legs. Then it would cut your eyeball open with a piece of glass.
