I think the rewards of having a real relationship with their mother outweighs the damage that may be caused by living with their mother's behind bars. Besides, I would bet that most women have to meet some stringent criteria before being allowed that...As to the safety of the kids from their mothers, I'm sure having guards on hand constantly is a big deterrent in anything funny going on. Not only that, but given how corrupt the Mexican police and government is in a lot of places, I'd bet that some of those women don't even f**king belong there, and just didn't have the extortion money.

Gravity is disturbing too but fact is a fact.Having the kids in there helps with the debilitation of prisoners. In addition, it most likely reduces the genpop violence that occurs in prisons. You claim your concern is for safety of kids - as if you are suddenly the only that thought of this and no one else did. You know what they do in prison to people who would hurt a kid right?
