I was at the book burning. Here are four pictures that I took with my camera phone:http://picasaweb.google.com/bryan.rathouz/BookBurningThere were a lot of good books in the boxes - next time I'll be getting there sooner and will be bringing cash. The three people in the background of the CNN pic are friends of mine...they bought quite a bit that day.

What an idiot. Lots of third world countries could use those books. Just because there are no local takers doesn't mean **no one** wants them.

The breakdown of society is near. Where I used to live you were looked down on if you read books. All the youths just wanted to drink, eat, f**k and play football.

"The fire blazed for about 50 minutes before the Kansas City Fire Department put it out because Wayne didn't have a permit to burn them."For some reason this quote cracks me up.

I went by there today to buy a few books and talked to the owner. He said he's planning on having another book burning soon.
