NO! They are here illegally for crying out loud! They should be deported and not given any benefits. And then take the people mooching off welfare (not the few who are down on their luck, ...some people really do need a hand now and then) and put them to work......
Illegal aliens literally bring their familiy member over the border and recieve free highly expensive medical treatment like open heart surgery! Don't get me wrong I care about people and we have amazing facilities, but my 62 year old mother that lives by herself and can't afford medical insurance nor was qualifying for government help was in a limbo between the two qualifications and was left to herself to suffer through major back problems caused by an injury sustained when riding her bike in college and getting hit by a worthless drunk driver, fibromyalgia, type 2 diabetes and psychological damage that for a long time gave her MPD! She and her posterity have been paying taxes our entire lives and she was skipped over at the doctor's office because she didn't have enough money and she had "too much", while the non-english speaking "vistor" next to her was waited on hand and foot by our brightest minds. She suffered like this for 15 years during which she raised three children alone! It was only last month that someone in the bureaucracy decided she could now be allowed to "qualify" for disability from the government after she had been forced out of her gift shop she owned by big business and would have leterally been on the streets had it not been for the amazing church of which we attend that provided her (and still does to an extent) with food and paid her rent!So sorry amigos, my vote is for my mom
As a med student, the prospect of universal socialized healthcare that Obama proposes outrages me. I am not in the medical field for the money, although it sure doesn't hurt, but I will be damned if I am going to spend 11 years in school so that I can barely repay my loans because I make $50,000 each year. To top that off, he would expect me to essentially treat illegal aliens for free and charge my American neighbor $20,000 every time they step into my ER. That is ridiculous. I am not against treating anyone, but I don't think that they should be showing up for me to treat in the first place, when they should be at a hospital in their own country. It is pretty sad that I am having to take extra foreign language classes to better prepare myself for my profession so that I can understand my patients. If I ever moved to a foreign country, I would at least take the courtesy to learn the native language of that country before I came to reside there. Bob Barr needs to be elected to prevent our hard earned money from paying for universal health care, and by universal I apparently mean the United States would be paying for health care for the whole universe and not just America.
