vhs-250 lines. dvd-520 lines. hd-dvd & blu ray- 720-1080. Vhs > DVD=double quality. Dvd > HD-DVD 200 more lines or double. HD-DVD & Blu ray use the same resolutions, and if Cnet can only tell the difference side by side, and not seperate then there's NO use spending the extra money for a blu ray player.
Well that's true and the whole reason I didn't even consider them. However I am going to purchase a PS3 in the future so I guess my choice is made up. I won't be buying the PS3 specifically for the BR player but it ain't a bad reason for some.
