time-blog.com — "In particular, partisan blogs have become so popular that they are threatening the business model -- and the independence -- of center-left opinion magazines, which may be forced to toe the party line to ensure their survival."--Brendan Nyhan

Brendan is what you call a concern troll. He finds ways to make false equivalences between opposing parties, and hates when things get 'politicized' i.e. done by politicians. (In case anyone hasn't noticed, politicians are more-or-less the sole power in the government that us regular citizens have even a token amount of control over, so I'm not sure why 'politicization' is bad).

Brendan:Newsflash. Maybe the problem wasn't that you didn't "toe the party line."Maybe it was that you aren't very good at providing any incisive or intelligent media criticism?Reading your posts I would go with the second. Peace,Monkey Faced LiberalP.S. As you requested on your blog, I am "digging" your post! I hope this makes you happy!P.P.S. Would you like some cheese to go with your whine?

The huge amount of free content online is putting strains on the businesses who used to make their money by selling content? Really? Brendan Nyhan may be the first person ever to notice that!
