engadget.com — In a huge blow to Toshiba, Universal, and the rest of the HD DVD devotees, rental giant Blockbuster has decided to stock only Blu-ray discs in the vast majority of its nationwide locations, although HD DVD titles will continue to be offered online and in the 250 (out of 1,450) stores that have been testing both formats since last year.

I agree that Blockbuster online is providing good competition to Netflix - but I'm glad both exist because hopefully it will force them both to continue to improve.

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/675You linked to this in your tirade of HD-DVD praise. Did you bother reading it?Clearly not, so here's a quote:In comments first published in The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Chapek, worldwide president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment, called the week's win by "Pirates" a "strong and significant trend toward consumer preference for the Blu-ray Disc format.""We are thrilled by the critical and industry response to 'Pirates' on Blu-ray disc," Chapek said. "But more importantly, the consumer has spoken loud and clear. This is only the beginning, but it was certainly a significant and explosive indicator of things to come."I won't call you ignorant though. Mainly because it's so obvious.
