stopgeek.com — Blockbuster told me they were charging more for new customers but that my old package wouldn't change. They lied to me and took away my monthly free rental coupon, in addition to removing it from new packages that now give less for more money. Plus they couldn't give me any help or answers in store. So I'm taking my complaint to the e-streets.

There's not much that Blockbuster can do if they are losing money. They were basically offering double the rentals for the exact same price as Netflix. Customers could just come into the store hand in a piece of a paper and walk out with a free rental. Of course BB is going to have to adjust accordingly.

Shame on all of you for renting when you could download ;-)

You sound proud of being a thief. You fail at being human and have been demoted back to monkey. Now get back in the tree, bitch.

There's new automated movie rental boxes in Albertsons that are $1 a day. Netflix should merge with them. Who needs Blockbuster when you could have movie exchanges in every grocery store, gas station, etc in town?

blockbuster is a store that rents both movies and video games, yet their online service DOESN'T INCLUDE BOTH. instead, you have to sign up for both individually, and the games service is twice the price of Gamefly. this is absolutely astounding to me. ASTOUNDING. I figured this out after the guy at my local branch lied and told me the service included both. also, netflix lets you stream movies over their site. pretty sure blockbuster doesn't let you do that. ALSO, Blockbuster went ahead and put every other video store in my town out of business, then they had the gall to go out of f**king business themselves, leaving no video stores in my town. i blame them. get your f**king house in order, blockbuster.

If you get new ones on Monday, and send them back the same day, they'll receive them on Tuesday, and you'll receive new ones on Wednesday. Take those to the post office and get them out in Wednesday's mail, you'll get new ones on Friday, they'll get them on Saturday, but since they don't ship on weekends, they won't ship until Monday, so that week (and every week after that) you'll receive shipments on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The ones you mail on Saturday will get to them on Monday, so it's the same as sending them on Friday. That means you'll get three shipments a week (or twelve shipments a month), if you stick to a ship-them-back-the-same-day approach. But every once in a while you'll request a movie that has to be sent from some other state, and that will slow you down.

If you're finding you still desire obtaining a particular product or service, the least you can do to stick it to big business is to grab a coupon and put some of your money back in your pocket. There are tons of sites, here's just one: http://www.savings.com/m-Blockbuster-coupons.html
