I've got to say this blows. I agree with the people who are saying its only a matter of time before you will be able to buy things like weapons and armor for RL coin and we all know how that plays out. Blizzard used to be the epitome of a great game company but this is actually a pretty big blow towards there cred. Once they do start selling epics its going to be pretty funny since it flys in the face of everything they said before about gold farming and selling characters etc.
oh yeah and theres an acheivement in wow for having a certain number of pets and instead of questing for and doing special events for them, you can now buy them. and since blizz has announced that in the future you can use achievement points for other in-game items guess what can happen if they make items like what can be collected with badges? ohh look guys i just bought Ashbringer with my achievement points.

Nothing has come along to topple WoW. Every once and awhile someone proclaims the next WoW killer is upon us, but they have all failed.

How many of these vanity pets are going to be abandoned after the novelty wears off?

Are you guys really going to give them more of your money? I quit that game a long time ago because of these sorts of things.
