gossipgamers.com — Recently this year a lot of video game publishers started using more advance DRM methods to battle piracy. Blizzard on the other hand is saying that there is no win-win situation by using DRM and most likely will harm you in the long run.

It's nice to see such a huge developer saying what we as consumers all already know. Maybe others will come around soon. Blizzard just scored some major cool points.

The only problem with LAN is that I just buy one copy and install it on 5 computers for my friends when they come over. It's piracy, and they have done a good job stopping it.

I agree with this. I can think of at least a dozen games I pirated for single player and shelled out the cash for when I wanted to play online. I'm very hesitant to buy games I know nothing about when they're $40 a pop.

Losing battle? No one will ever break future DRM which streams data from internet.

Was referring to LAN for WoW Arenas.

I absolutely cannot believe that I didn't get buried off the entire Internet for claiming Blizzard was anything less than the most awesome company ever.

I disagree, they other 4 would have never bought it in the first place. It stopped nothing.
