I can't say I'm a fan of the way he talks about Republicans as if they're this little group that talks in dark corners about how we're going to step on civil liberties next. I'm a Republican, and am against the secrecy private contractors get. They should be held accountable just as troops are.

I know most of their funding comes from the private sector. A lot of the money from the private sector going to blackthorn probably came through the govt, but that is hardly a "secret army" just companies trying to protect themselves.And they have the same rules of engagement as the US military with no immunity from prosecution.

We've always had private armed contractors on US soil. The armed guard at the bank, the Brinks truck driver, security specialists at federal installations, the list goes on and on and on. We aren't bloodthirsty killers praying for war, we're just trained professionals doing a job. Most of the time that job is protecting you.

First thing people should no is that everyone who is contracted through blackwater is just that a indepentdent contractor. and the independent contractors or these mercs as you call them provide a service for the war effort that the regular military cant provide and the ability to go outside the law sometimes is not always a bad decision. the fact that you think you can play by the rules and still get the job done at all is a silly notion. the fact is that companies suck as blackwater are necessary evils in the world and will always be there and one day i can see wars being fought by contractors solely based off the fact that soldiers dont have the proper training and situational awareness that comes with the further training you recieve from these contactors you say the military can take care of the war and they will win it by themselves but the truth is there are too many laws governing our troops for them to make any bigger impact then we already have there isnt a advancement anymore and these contractors are left to pick up the mess cause our government wasnt ready to deal with the problems to start with. This is not meant to knock soldiers that fight the war in anyway but a attempt for people to see the light without contractors willing to do the dirty work who is gonna do it. The people who think that you can get play by the rules and still make it out ahead your blind to the world and there will always be a need for privatized military. The ones who make this place worse are the ones who sit back thousands of miles away and critize the job others have done. if you think you can make a difference raise your hand and volunteer to do or shut your f**kin mouth
