He was obviously trying to be tounge and cheek, the guy was married to a black woman for 17 friggin years guys...Why would you marry a black woman if you are racist?

While I do sympathize with your hardships and you are correct in stated that there are many forms of racism. You are just on person, I was making a general statement. Based on economic, education, wealth, political and power White males do have the advantage. My argument is that Racism was the justification for which your forefathers believed you deserved these privileges. So again while you may have been prejudged far more than some blacks overall I don't think anyone has had more disadvantages than blacks in America with the exception of the Native American. So think of it like this Whites at one time being the minority established the norms for our society therefor anything inconsistent with the norm is inferior. For example white is good black is assumed to be bad, hence the expression "nothing wrong with a little white lie". "Black magic" which is commonly associated with satanic worship. Angola which is a prison is also a place in Africa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_State_Penitentiary. While this all may seem ironic is it? Racial harmony will only be achieved when people realize that there are many wrongs. By not directly participating in the wrong doesn't make you innocent. Thats like seeing someone rob a bank and leave a bag of money in your car. While you didn't rob the bank you having access to the money or spending the money leaves you in the same boat as the robber.

I guess the melanin makes their skin really thin. This isn't the deep south, it's goddamn Long Island. The noose isn't necessarily racist but it is abusive. Of course they go right to EEOC. ::rolls eyes::

and the swastika has been around for thousands of years also which makes its display not racist also right? Right?Ignorance I tells yaLets just forget how many blacks were lynched in our history and pretend that the noose wasnt used against a particular race for decades by pointing out that someone created the noose before slavery.

@Jayeveryday 'The Berlin Conference clearly shows this, European nations came together to discuss how they could conquer'What??? There was no such kind of conference in history – you talk nonsense.
hellmarkJan 8, 2007
@JSPKZ - Actually, yes there was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Conference@Jayeveryday - Yes, somethings are clearly biased in our society, but there are some things that may appear racially biased but end up being so for other reasons. You brought up television as one thing. Typically shows aimed at black audiences are not very profitable, due to low ratings. If people do not watch the shows, companies will be unwilling to pay for ad time, and if the networks do not get enough revenue to make it worth while, they will stop making it and be hesitant to make similar shows in the future. Also, look at it from the perspective of the content creators. People generally write about what they know, and most of the people going to work in Hollywood are generally white, hispanic, and asian. So you have fewer people creating for or with blacks, and fewer networks wanting to produce as much of the content that is being created for that market.

@Jayeveryday - On comments, I just goto my profile, and have it filter so only the articles I have commented on appear, and check the comments. I dont usually do alot of commenting, so when I do, I check back later that day, and if someone replied, I will reply and make a mental note to check back later. If I don't have any new replies after a while, I just dont check it anymore. Usually, I'll come back a couple hours after the initial comment, and then once or twice a day after that.Neilson ratings are one way for studios and producers to get info, along with focus groups (they love their focus groups), phone polls, and also critic reviews. Some studios are starting to listen to the viewers more directly, with fan correspondence from email and letters (which seems to have worked some, with some fan groups being able to save shows based on their letter drives). Plus, online polls are coming more en vogue, since its cheap and easy to setup. However, for the most part, I've given up on mainstream media. Too much any more is pure crap, and what little that is of interest to me seems to be pulled despite positive ratings (ie Firefly). While there are plenty of ways for people to voice their opinions to the content makers and producers, too many of the higher ups ignore it because they don't understand it due to being too disconnected from society.

Since when is a noose racist? And whose to say the person who created it meant it in that way. This just backs up my feelings that black people [in general] are more racist than whites.

I don't think it's nice to put 'black' in front! What, you don't think that white people do that too ? I truly doubt it. But here is a site for those who want to improve their organization in their company: http://www.nationalpeo.com .Cheers
