I just bought a 7130c about two weeks ago and I love it. I could care less about the camera or SD card integration. What I *would* like is the voice dialing, especially if I could use it with my bluetooth headset. Wonder if they'll make some sort of firmware upgrade to add voice dialing to existing phones? Eh, probably not.
My biggest beef with Blackberries (currently using the 7130c and I love the form factor, weight and screen) isn't SureType or the scroll wheel or the lack of SD or camera... it's that you can't view and edit Office documents without a $200 add-in. Sucks.
the 7250/7290 form factor is a bit wide for a cell phone, until you get a bluetooth hedset. then it can stay in your pocket, or in the glove box, on the desk, whatever.i wish they didnt switch to the bad keyboard. the whole allure of the blackberry for me was the nice wiiiiide qwerty keyboard. ssh is a dream on the 7290.
Personally, I love the mini-keyboard and Suretype. I've speed tested myself on mutliple handhelds, including a full size Blackberry, and my typing in SureType always wins due to larger, more closely situated keys.I also beat any friend I go up against. Once you adapt to SureType, it's superior to standard keyboards because of the key sizes it allows.
Every owned a BES system or been a BES admin? There's a lot more to the system and TRUE administration than just push e-mail. Like a little thing called security and policies that Blackberry Connect doesn't give you.Go read the big ass BES server manual then you'll see where I'm coming from.
I don't understand why people complain about the size of the keyboard. Yes, it is something to get used but if you don't like it...they have bigger sizes. It isn't like it is a surprise that it would be smaller and different. People complaining shouldn't have bought the thing.
