torrentfreak.com — Almost 50% of all people using BitTorrent at any given point in time do this to download TV-series, while only 10% of the available torrents are TV related. People who download TV-shows also have one of the best share ratios, only Anime fanatics beat them.

Wait, shouldn't the share ratio _average_ always be 1? I mean for someone to download it, someone had to upload it right?

1) Here, have 5 bucks. Now i'm going to rob the bank. I'm covered, as i just paid you 5 bucks.2) ..3) Profit!Seriously though, that's how i view it too.Like watching something and taping it afterwards. ;) In theory at least. Just forget about the commercials you'd miss.

The site the study was based on : http://www.sumotorrent.com seems to be quite good, I have found a lot of torrents onto it !

So if I only download shows on the big networks that are broadcast over the air, then am I safe? Think about it. The networks BROADCAST their shows, sending them out FOR FREE into the air all over the country. How can they claim that I am stealing if they are giving it away for free?

I would also highly recommend Death Note (only subbed atm but still worth it). That is one of the best animes I have seen in a long time. I would also recommend Cowboy Bebop.I hear they also plan on releasing the English version of Death Note on DVD the same time as they release it in Japan, but that could always change.

I live on a military base, and the only way to get a good signal for free locally broadcasted channels is to have cable tv.So i download my shows. Its about the only think I download. need to get my "Lost", "24" fix.The "AA"'s will try to spin it as stealing someones IP, but legally you are allowed to record publicly broadcasted tv shows. After all...isnt a TiVo just a computer? Dang straight it is.
