Then that makes you worse than BitTorrent In who only kept a closed source client closed source yet still post all the protocol updates for free. You'd know that if you read the article.
It's already been proven that the RIAA/MPAA use modified Azureus clients to poison swarms and collect IP lists. While packet sniffing has yet to find anything in Mainline or µTorrent. Hey look at those Movie Company ads/videos at the Vuze site...
