blogs.seattleweekly.com — We're 24 hours into the Bing era--i.e. the era of Microsoft's new search engine. (It's called Bing!) And even though the public doesn't have access to the service yet, a lot of tech writers do, and their reviews are in--and excerpted in this article.

That's exactly how I feel. I'd happily switch to something other than Google if it works better but if Live search is anything to go by Microsoft still have a long way to go. Google's by no means perfect and I often get frustrated by the results it pulls up but Microsoft have traditionally been much worse. By the sounds of things Bing doesn't really do much to improve the actual search results it just presents a lots of additional information that could be helpful. I hope they can do more to just improve their search results.

Um, the site isn't even up yet...therefore, this "article" (re: paid for PR puff piece) is based on people who saw a promo VIDEO of the supposed site and a handful of "tech writers" (re: MS shills) who supposedly have seen the site but, um, make a living off of writing articles like this...ahem. Buried for inaccuracy and/or spam.

If you do over 5 searches in 30 seconds you get the blue screen of death.

Why didn't they just fix Live or fix MSN. They just keep coming up with new stupid products instead of fixing the old ones

I've been reading about it for a few weeks and been looking forward to trying it out. Just a second ago I typed www.live.com and got redirected to www.bing.com . Give it a go! Looks like it's just becoming available to the public?

The way it presents the results is amazing. Seearched digg and list on its own was the site. No cluter. Now as I have multiple browsers I have two search engines. Its good to have choice. Well done Microsoft.
