Greg Deluz....more like Greg da Loser. Are you out of your friggin' mind these kids need spankings. I have been told to f**k off by 13 yr. olds and that isn't because of being being spanked that they act that way. It is because they are coddled and their every whim and fancy is handed to them with soft words and affirmations. Small children do not yet appreciate an intelligent dialog and nature has forced us to a more corporal method for us to guide and direct children before their communication skills and their ability to empathize and be introspective is fully developed spankings are the proper method.
If you have half a clue, spanking is unnecessary. Think out the consequences for misbehavior, tell them the consequences, and *never* fail to deliver. And don't forget the rewards for doing the right things.Yep raised several, all fine.
You're right - it's because there is no discipline. It's not because they need to be hit it's because their parents suck at being parents. Effective parents don't need to hit.
Hitting someone, or even putting someone in fear of being hit, is enough to be charged with assault, yet many people seem to think hitting kids, as long as they are your own, is perfectly OK. Can someone explain that to me?

Not if stronger rules with consequences were embed in your heads beforehand. Example: My child already knows that if he misbehaves, That he will loose his best toy for a week or longer depending on the act. If the parent then keeps these rules continuously, Then the child will eventually learn the consequences of there actions. If removing a toy does not seem to have an affect over some weeks? Then take away tv time, Game time,Play time etc. But at the end of the day, There is no fear of a child over a parent. I grew up wit the belt. It did not stop me from being a bad boy. But although I love my parents, As a child I also feared them. It's always the Goody Two Shoes college educated numbnuts who don't have children who like to tell those of us who do have children how to raise them. It's quite clear that she has never had a difficult child just down right defy her or disobey her with any fear whatsoever of being punished for it. When are these Spock loving dummies going to realize that not abuse, but strict corporal punishment short of beating the hell out of a child is whats going to make these stubborn, unruley, rude, &%$# you, kids of today need? I used to have my $#@ beat with anything ranging from a show to a switch that I had to fetch myself and I don't hate my parents for it. Looking back, I can see that anytime I got punished, I most likely deserved it! I guess she's never told her child to do something they didn't like, have them look at her and just say &%^$ YOU and there ain't nothing you can do about it, cuz if you hit me, I'll call the cops on you. I tell mine, go ahead, call 'em......cuz it's either my rules, or live elsewhere and support yourself without my help. Most dogooders fail to realize that there is a difference between punishment and abuse, and that with these absolutely ridiculously STUPID laws being passed, they are taking the authourity and respect away from the parents who have been there and done that.
