@craigj - My comment was meant as a sarcastic remark aimed at conservatives. I guess the joke got lost but I'm glad so many people saw the point I was making and dug me down. I agree that Arnold is a shining example of what people who move to the United States with limited English skills can accomplish if they put their mind to it. It would be a shame if such a silly law was passed.

blackknight it puts fuel onto this fire we call apthy in which american individuals (in masses ) aren't even interested in learning a second language... I mean are we that scared htat th elanguage might change. So what if it becomes Spanish I welcome it.. It isn't going ot turn us into a third world country because its a language mostly spoken by non-whites....Anyway it jsut renforces the idea of not learning a second language = good.... I'm serious once oyhu get reneforcement of an ideaology you can't reverse the mindset of the culture.

Correction America wouldn't be int he position it is today as a world power and an economic powerhouse if it wasn't for the blacks they enslaved.. I'm sorry but we built this country off of our backs, and we right next to the native americans were so f**ked over so badly... And just recently got human, and civil rights.... WEll we barel yhave human rights.... Its usually waived whenever a police pulls you over...

It is more than just misspellings. NAtive English speakers have a tendacy to not use English correctly when writing essays or thesis papers.. English is a really tricky language

I speak four languages and I was born in the United States. If someone doesn't learn to speak and read English, they don't deserve ANY special treatment or accommodation.
