I don't agree with every Bill Maher's viewpoint, I definitely agree with this one.I wrote a blog with similar viewpoints a few months ago. I think Maher phrased it much better than I ever could. He articulated Exactly what I believe!
Recycling something that costs more than making it from new is usually bad for the environment. Look at paper- most paper today comes from re-planted ground. It is more efficient and faster to harvest trees that have been planted in rows than chaotic old-growth forest. So instead of planting and harvesting trees (a renewable resource) at little expense, you want to burn tons of fossil fuels driving around old paper and running it through bleaching and pulping chemicals to make an inferior product... how noble of you.

Captialism is the only way to fix what has been broken by "good intentions". And please spare me the health care bs. If that is true then tell me why when I was at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. I met a Canadian couple who's child was there for heart surgery because their country's system was "lacking" and the believe left up to their country, their child would have died.
I'm convinced that most of you belong someplace else,like Cuba,China,or some other country that practices nationalized everything.See how you like it there.
