iphoneworld.ca — Microsoft's Billl Gates on Apple iPhone. Quotes: "Well, of course, I?m the wrong person to ask. I like to dial numbers with one hand, and maybe I?m the only one.". ..."So the key trend to look at is the importance of software and then say who really has shown the ability to do strong software? In some ways, just we [Microsoft] have."

Lol, strong software my ass. Had a Casiopeia, what a load of crap: sold it after 3 months. Buddy of mine has a Huricane / Tornado (whatever) phone: newest (most expensive model) and he still has the same crap as I had on my Casiopeia. Know what I'm talking about?: the registry and dll hell!Goodby MS, was fun using pirated versions of Win98/2000/XP but know I bought my first OS. For my Macbook Pro, that is... OSX, but it's not that strong... ;) It's very light and works like a charm. But, under the hood they have good technology. And OSX server? Very weak too. It won't even need a reboot (i.e. crash) in 90 days, as opposed to Windows Server. Bad...

Why'd they change that? Too much bad press? Some people are going to be pissed when something locks up and CAD doesn't work.

Yes I know this, but I have both a PC and a Mac, so WM5 is fine for me. You're right, WM5 doesn't work with OS X out of the box, though there are 3rd-party solutions like TheMissingSync...

Oh, and by the way, the iPhone will be a complete lockdown to OS X, so it's not any better. Matter of fact, it's worse - it won't even allow 3rd-party apps! At least my WM5 phone can sync on OS X using 3rd-party tools, and I can install whatever I want on it - even apps I write myself! I even have a Python VM and code editor on my phone so I can code on the fly on my phone!

At least Bill Gates has a sense of humor.

Ah, people digg me down, yet I notice no one took the time to list the 'strong' software MS has actually created itself.
