The requirements maybe "simple" however browsers will still render the photo gallery differently. Adding in javascript will only increase the potential cross-browser problems. If you want to use html and javascript to create a photo gallery great! I would probably do it that way as well because I have yet to learn flash, and using that method is less bandwidth intensive. However my point is flash is a viable alternative and it is stupid outright reject it because it was not around in the 90's (well it was but had yet to become really popular). This criticism is only magnified by the fact the very complaints the original commenter was laying against flash are it's major strengths (consistent presentation regardless of user resources). It would be like complaining about Java because it is not portable enough.
Nice suggestive shot of Bill lounging on a table, while draped over a PC monitor...As a point of interest, why doesn't anyone ever mention Paul Allen. Microsoft got their big break because Paul negotiated the deal between IBM and Microsoft ( Bill was in the back room coding MS Q-Basic at the time ).Also : An interesting quote from Bill Gates re Paul Allen and Steve Jobs :" People tell you about their great vision. I honestly say that the only guy I've ever met -- well, I've met two guys. Paul Allen has some vision and Steve Jobs has some vision. Same problem here... using flash 10 beta on linux 64bit. I hate it when sites use bad flash detection code like that.
