1up.com — "It [the Xbox 360] is a general purpose computer. [W]e wouldn't have done it if it was just a gaming device. We wouldn't have gotten into the category at all. It was about strategically being in the living room." Sounds familiar to what Sony got ROASTED for here on digg right? This story surely wont get dugg and if it does I'll cancel my account.

"Are you sure you want to block user LightsOut06?"Absolutley.

Actually for similar functionality you'd have to pay $700 for the 360 ($100 for the wireless, $200 for HD-DVD) and that's ignoring the hard drive size, but no HDMI cable for the PS3 (which you can find for less than $100 easily).MS gives you an option though. I don't watch much movies so I don't really want an HD-DVD player now. The biggest problem with the PS3 is lack of games I want (new console so of course) and the fact that it just doesn't seem to be working properly. Granted the first 360s out seemed to suffer from some problems as well, but I didnt get one of those until this June anyway.

"Had the PS3 been $100 cheaper, (and had Sony not employed a retarded PR strategy), you would not be hearing any complaints."lol, do you really think this is all about $100? This is about 10M+ people who already own an Xbox and are emotionally invested in its success. No one will buy both an Xbox and PS3 so sony has to climb an uphill battle. Thats what they mean by "too expensive". A wii and Xbox is more affordable.

This is not attempt to capitalize on a stupid meme but a real question: Does the xbox 360 run Linux?

Where's my mouse and keyboard support then? Not just to input text when registering an xbox account, but to actually use in games?

Let me get this straight: Microsoft has made a general purpose computer based on the PowerPC chip with a beautiful graphical interface and whose system is entirely proprietary?Has hell frozen over?If it hasn't yet, it will when they release Microsoft Office for it.
