If Libby wasn't found to be guilty, and that imaginary court case which you described was actually how things were, he can win on appeal. In the real world, however, Bush is just returning favors for favors like mafias do. One has to take a very naive view at Libby's case in order to pretend like Clinton's pardons were in any way similar.
