sports.aol.com— The Patriots destroyed the Redskins 52-7 today, and as you might expect with a final score like that, there are some folks saying the Patriots ran up the score.

Just because a team lost to the pats this year does not mean they suck! its the pats for christ's sake they are beating everyone right now. Grow up learn some perspective and realize this is a golden age and ten years ago or ten years from now it'll be a different picture and maybe the you'll be pissed about the pats gettting beat down by the dolphins or something.
You can think it's dumb in your idealistic sporting world. The reality of the situation is when you know there's no possible chance of you winning you're not going to risk your body in the last minutes of the game because the winning team wants to keep pummeling you. By your reasoning they shouldn't even down balls in the last few seconds anymore, the winning team should start throwing Hail Mary's down to the last second and the defense should blitz.Fans pay to watch a competitive and entertaining football game. They don't pay to watch completely unnecessary throws on 4th down, with an over 40 point lead, late in the fourth quarter. There's a precedent for this set in football. I'm not asking for you to have sympathy for the millionaire jocks - just understand the situation instead of blindly attacking them.I didn't say the Redskins should give up and start crying. I said the Pats ran some questionable, dangerous, and/or unnecessary plays for no reason."The equivalent of what you are suggesting is the boxer being hit once and deciding he can't win"If you think your above boxing scenario is an adequate equivalent to what happened in the game, an over 40 point lead late in the 4th quarter, then I don't even want to debate this anymore. Lets agree to disagree.
Wasn't everyone accusing them of cheating not to long ago? Now they're under the microscope and STILL winning, so what does that tell you? Sorry, if you don't want to be humiliated, play better. It's time to forget the touchy feely BS. There are winners and there are losers in this world. If you want to win, play hard. If you want to keep winning, play harder. If you don't want lose, suck less.
*cough* bandwagon *cough*Seriously, you're an eagles fan, but you've "admired" the Pats since they started their run of Super Bowl wins in '01... f**king pathetic.
Not what I'm saying....it's just that if they'd have kicked it, the defense (which is supposed to be 5th in the league) wouldn't have a chance to make a play, because the offense sure wasn't doing anything. eh.
