googlemapsbikethere.org — Over 30,000 people have petitioned Google to add a "Bike There" option to Google Maps, much like the "Take Public Transit" option that's already available in many cities. So far, no response from Google. Can Digg make it happen?

Ah. A google bike map and "bike accessible" map would be awesome. I live in NYC, and getting around by bike can be a pain when you have to find alternative routes from the BQE and the LIE. I need to side streets, quick routes, residential routes. Ever try to ride a bike on Queens Blvd?

I don't have a car, and walking takes too long. How did the Maps team miss this? Walking, driving, and public transportation, but no biking?Oh look, an online petition that isn't totally stupid and worthless.
