I laughed out loud when I saw that this article about Google Adsense alternatives had Google ads right in the middle of it.
protektorOct 17, 2006
I find that unlikely. What was the supposed website you ran these ads on? What's more likely is that it was a spammy site or there was significant click fraud coming thru it.
gd007Oct 17, 2006
my adsense a/c was cancelled. is there anyway to get it back?
dotnetskyOct 17, 2006
People who use ad blockers are generally immature people with half a brain who think they are "hot s**t".. If ads are non-intrusive, well-placed and not "in -your-face", anybody who provides useful content is entitled to make an attempt to support their efforts with some revenue. Besides, ad blockers can be defeated anyway with a little common sense and good technology.

Oh my mistake, I get what you're saying.
elektrickiOct 17, 2006
It's too bad I didn't see that adlogger thing before I got banned. Heh.

I was banned by adsense as well. My average was 6 clicks per day and it took me several months to get to the point where I could request a check. The very day I hit $50 my account was canceled for "click fraud." My appeal was shot down without explanation. I've been trying out a couple of different ad providers, bidvertiser and clicksor. The relevancy of the ads they provide is highly questionable. Examples of the ads provided include "Top 10 Drug Rehab Centers" and "Shopping for Hitler? Find all your Hitler needs at Shopping.com"In the month or so post adsense, the new ads have received only 6 clicks each, for a grand total of $1.80. If the clicks don't pick up soon, I'll just clean the ads off my site and forget the whole thing.

Google ads is not discrete by any means, its clogging the internet with their spam c**p ads, come on.. its just a bunch of amateurs using arbitrage and people paying others to click illegally on their ads.. any real web site sells their ads based on CPM, thanks to whoever posted this as the list is better than nothing, I am done with Google adsense.

Interesting but mainly useless listAdsense and adwords rule the roost. The best advice anyone can give is to learn adsense and adwords and make it work for youIt really is possible to earn a decent income from Google adsense. The trick is to remain within the TOS.If you stray outside Google's terms of service, you will loose you account and getting it back is nigh impossibleMore info on making money legitimately online at Affiliate Marketing Tips For Beginners

Adbrite's contextual ads are not good. Luckily their interstitial ads ARE good.Read a full review here - http://www.monetizationhub.com/adbrite-review/

Google adsense always manages to skarue you in the end sooner or later. I am reading an article from here on digg http://topadsensekeywordsfree.blogspot.com/2008/12 ... that is taking the words right out of my mouth. I lost google earth referrals at a time when i was getting several hundred a month. I just decide to take adsense, search and all other google ads of all sites. They are a bit too large to fight. I fought them 2 years over the tagline "see your house from space" They won, if they were a person i would sock their nose.

Adsense is a waste. Cost per action (CPA) so much more rewarding. http://www.squidoo.com/aboutsecretcashblueprint
