I'm a huge kevin smith fan, but I have to call you on something. Mallrats was a huge theatrical disaster. Lost tons of money in the theater....it was all finally made up in dvd sales, but jersey girl wasn't the only theatrical flop of mr smith.(I love mallrats and even have a strange fondness of jersey girl...but Chasing Amy was by far the best smith flick of all time!)
i like flops, it means i get to see it on dvd faster. wow! that was made for 150 million?, i just payed .99 cents to see? actually not that disappointing or bad at all.

Fountain: current worldwide gross $10m <a class="user" href="http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=fountain.htm">http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=fountain.htm</a>Wicker Man: current worldwide gross $32m <a class="user" href="http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=wickerman.htm">http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=wickerman.htm</a>Poseidon: current worldwide gross $181m <a class="user" href="http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=poseidon.htm">http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=poseidon.htm</a> (still probably wont turn a profit though)As for Superman - the whole $300 million budget thing, I thought, was blown out of proportion because it was taking into account all the costs incurred by previous failed attempts at relaunching the franchise. Even so with a worldwide gross of $390 million it was by no means a flop. I am sure that with all the marketing tie ins and DVD sales it might eventually turn a small profit.

That's weird, if it's not worth seeing, why was it sold in all the local theaters in my area for days?

I can vouch for some of these. Some movies are just plain horrible. Do these guys actually watch them before putting them out?

It was a good movie -- if you were intoxicated.

The black sidekick in a WWI flick makes it authentic.
