ecomodder.com — It shouldn?t be surprising to anyone that buys gas that the market for fuel-efficient vehicles has exploded recently. Not only is gas expensive, but the psychological effects of paying big time at the pump has driven people toward hybrids and small cars, making many models scarce and putting the Civic up on top.

So did you think the same way about yourself when you had a truck?

KBB also valued my 1 year old Fit at more than we paid for it. Even the trade in value was only 500 less than what we paid for it. Also, it was so cheap we've already paid it off!

Try fitting a family of 5 (one's a baby) in a Honda Fit.More like "Don't Fit".Now add luggage.Small cars are great, but not for everyone. A Prius, Escape or Highlander Hybrid make more sense if you need more room but still want 30+ mpgFor the single-person commuter, yeah, a Fit or Yaris are really nice.

I remember seeing on Top Gear where they tested a BMW against a Prius when driving fast. Both cars had the same speed and the BMW used less fuel. Don't expect to get better mpg with those small cars (with weak engines) when you already get bad mpg. The only difference is that it won't be as much fun if it takes forever to accelerate.

A Honda Insight is a subcompact economy car. There is nothing fun about it sorry. What does a CRX, which is supposed to be more of sports/performance car have to do with an Insight? Been in my friends Insight, and fun is was not. The suspension didn't feel rock hard. I really doubt a 70 HP Insight is faster then the 160 hp CRX, but hey you can pretend.
