4 corners refers to N-S-E-W. Not a stretch! The CATHOLICS who persecuted Galileo were "leaders" who clearly did not read the Bible -- or at least not the book of Job. They wanted control, and they got it. Galileo had to bow before THEM, you say? Did Christ say Galileo should do that? Clearly, they were not followers of Christ. Also, seeIsaiah 40:22 "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth." The original Hebrew for circle is "sphericity or roundness." God did indeed tell us that the Earth is spherical, and the head honchos in the Catholic church chose to ignore that vivid description of our planet to gain control over others. Columbus was told that he would sail off of the edge of the Earth. So why did he blow off the experts? (Hint: he had the instruction manual).
Yeah, just like according to scientific fact, men are physically stronger and have slightly larger brains than women. Therefore, we should treat women as inferiors to men. Freakin bigots.
Actually if you ever read both books, you would not say that.If you read the Koran and take the words of the profit at face value, your questions would be why more Muslim's are not blowing themselves up in car bombs to you infidels. The Bible on the other hand, if you read the entire thing, from old testament to new, you can clearly see that the evil and wrong doings were punished. It crescendos with Jesus giving us a new, 11th commandment to sum up the others : 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself’. Later he was put to death for radical teachings like that. Now granted that's a lot of Christians who are Hippocrates, but blindly following Jesus will result in you doing good things for others. That’s a far cry from following Mohammed too closely where you are taught that you are Allah’s enforcer here on earth. - 9.014 "Fight them (infidels) and Allah will punish them by your (Muslims) hands"
There is a diffrence between a book that be been considered holy for thousands of years and a text book that will be re-written and changed in 20 years.
you all have to be kidding i could sit here and list off a hundred horrible things the Christians did in the name of beliefs. at some point isn't it just going to become apparent that being fanatic about your religion just leads to trouble. Believe what you want, but understand that slander comes hand in hand with strong belief.
I disagree. To the contrary. I think the Gospels genuinely helped me growing up to love other people and have compassion and mercy even to my enemies. Jesus has taught me so much more about loving my fellow humans than any secular school ever did.

Ewwww. Then you'd have to join the DNC or something! But at least you'd get to redefine lots of words. Maybe even "is"!
