Too late AMD, I got sick of waiting! You lost 3 purchases from me this year. BUT! Glad to see things getting better, I'll consider AMD in the future purchases again.
No, I think the biggest event has happened already with Dell+Ubuntu. That alone will cause a series of smaller 'events', better drivers being only a part of it.

Wow. How about a better Vista driver? I love linux, but I need my 3d windows apps. :( Only maya runs on linux.

Agree'd ;) be nice if they supported windows as well.ATI has always sucked at drivers. AMD may be able to save them with a bit of work.

Well, if they do actually free the code, that's good not just for Linux users, but users of other free OSes as well.Let's hope they follow through.
