@brianlowryIt's funny that question always seems to come from people with a lack of education. Know C# and .NET? A regular .NET expert in our midst? Nice, that makes you are a code monkey, not a developer. The difference is that code monkeys deal in programming languages. Developers deal in algorithms. It's like comparing an electrician to an electrical engineer. They both deal with electricity in fundamentally different ways.Sure, we need code monkeys to build the trivial applications (church websites) with already strung together toolkits. Just like we need plumbers or electricians. But we need people with a firm background in formal theory to engineer the systems of tomorrow, article intelligence, robotics, automations, machine learning, etc. And you'll notice that not even Microsoft gives a s**t about your uber ASP.NET skills. The interview process at any major software company such as Microsoft, Google, IBM, Yahoo, etc. all deal with mathematical knowledge and algorithms. Period.
Awesome article!! Surprised to know that Tippett chose to run FC4 on Mac Hardware. Earlier I read an article about Fedora being used at Nasa. As a Fedora Fan and ambassador, I am really proud about this distribution.

I hate how people think Ubuntu and Linux are the same thing. I hope you know they consider it "Beginner Level".
