It is not illegal to receive open-broadcast wi-fi, therefore, not stealing.You might have noticed that Leo didn't call her a thief.

tekzilla has done a live show once, but i agree with you, they should do it more often. i think they will if they deem co-op live to be a success, because theyre probably experimenting with deciding whether to do live shows more often, starting with co-op

A-freaking-men here.If you leave it open and unsecured and radiate a signal into somebody else's house/apartment then so be it. If you don't want somebody else using your signal in their house then don't radiate an open and unsecured signal. It ain't hard - drop your signal strength, put up some mesh wallpaper, whatever you want - but since you have the option to prevent an unsecured signal to radiate into my house then I have the option to use it.But also, excellent point - if you are sponging off of somebody else then if they turn it off, tough noogies for you. Deal with it.

what frustrates me is when the service is down and I call the ISP, I've already done all the basics. I know that tech supports needs to gets through them, so I tell them done this, this and this (to let them know I know what I'm talking about -- cause I know that all sorts of people call in). Inevitably they make me go through them again. I am patient go through it all. And then I am often told it's your DSL cable. Thing is it's never my cable. In all the time that "it's your cable" it's never been my cable. I had a tech guy from India tell me once that the "416 area code is okay" to show that "their end was okay". 416 area code is Toronto one.3 million people have that area code.After wasting an hour "troubleshooting" I got no where and ended the call. Turns out, it was my ISP, not my cable.

I think he's a dick...he confesses that he has in the past connected to open wireless networks when he really needed a connection. Then he proceedes to preach about robbery to the caller. Just because he only did it in the past or just "a little" doesn't make him any more legal than her.
