windows: notepad++, ultraedit, far manager, vi linux: gedit, vi, nano, mc ;) vi win thoughmac: textwrangler, vi and mcdos: norton commander :)) anyways vi win on any platform any day !
Hey, how do you rate that? Have been tempted to buy it a few times so that I have consistent keyboard control on all my major editors (even firefox with vimperator!) but I don't want it if it can't handle all the vim motion controls etc.
Word-wrapping is okay, the way that Nano (and Pico) word-wrap is not. Adding a newline character to the text in order to word-wrap is rediculous - even notepad on windows doesn't do that.
Is it just me or do all them suck. I mean whats up with the commands meta-w for copy using Emacs? How intuitive is that? And then there's the whole insert/command mode 4 vi, ugh! Pico/nano are way too light weight. Surely there's a command line editor out there that doesn't have retarded commands i.e ctrl+s to save, ctrl+shift+s to save as etc....
