She doesn't know it's a sword, so, she's using it like a stick, and is poised to strike him gently - girly girls aren't supposed to play rough, so she's being very gentle about it. At least she's in the front of the charge and not hanging back. Worse yet, the girl in the back in the dainty pastel pantsuit is actually afraid to engage and has apparently refused a saber. this may be related to the niceness of her outfit, or just a fear of conflict.
