I rent stuff from Best Buy. I'll buy a joystick there and play a new flight sim and then I'll return it before the policy ends on the receipt. Then I'll come back in 2 days later and buy another. I love using them.
All the computer shops I used to see have diminished into flyers on grocery store bulletin boards. Best Buy has taken over the PC repair market, and mainstream users would rather take their computer to a "reputable" place like best buy, as apposed to the handful of guys in the shop on the corner. Small guys like me can compete with neither Best Buy's marketing, or the average user's ignorance.
These guys screwed me over twice, I had to take off two half days off work. The first time they spliced new 'leads' onto 15 year old wire I already had in my walls. The second time they came out to fix the first problem they charged me an extra $100.

Best Buy relies on the ignorance of the trusting masses for their bottom line.

I would remove you too. If you want to help customers in Best Buy then apply for a job there.

I remember back in the 90's, Gateway would charge something like $50 just for a Disk Defragment.....

Could have been a dummy of a tech that thought there was a boot sector virus after googling "Non system disk or disk error"

It didn't work for me in firefox, I had to switch to explorer to view it. I hate internet explorer.

Um, if you own a business franchise they can't "forcefully buy you out". they can only do that to corporate owned stores.
