This happened to be when I went into the store to purchase the VGA cable for my LCD monitor. It was marked up to $42.99 when it is clearly sold almost everywhere else for $39.99. I don't mean to be cheap but the only reason I went in was because Circuit City didn't have any. To make a long story short the manager saw that indeed other stores were selling it cheaper and gave me a price match.

But I just spent $100 on a wireless receiver for my 360! Oh, wait, it always was $100.

And Best Buy has NEVER been the cheapest store for almost every product they carry. It's really not some new and exciting irony.

Anyone never learned economics? If someone buys it no matter the cost it is not an overcharge. Just because you have more knowledge or whatever that makes you think it is bad value doesn't mean everyone thinks it is bad value.

What peripherals do you need that are not already built in? Bluetooth headset maybe? To make the 360 wireless, hd, and WiFi, capable you'll spend more than you would on a ps3.
