thedrilldown.com — To compensate for slumping DVD sales, Best Buy announced a partnership with CinemaNow that would add a digital delivery service within all Internet capable devices-- but one with far too many compromises.

What you describe is NOT a good customer service policy, actually.Letting your customers walk all over you is not good business. IT increases the costs to everyone else.

I haven't given a dollar to Best Buy in a very long time.

So I suppose all the good, cheap businesses (amazon, monoprice, newegg) is Capitalism not at work?

@ newchap Your opinion is such as it is.However, their attitude towards their customers DID result in my being a costco customer for life.So a two assh**es with huge balls cost them a little profit and a thousand reasonable customers (per two assh**es more or less) keeps their stores full enough that they actually need 26 checkout stations and they all have lines.I think they understand their business better than you do. Perhaps you need to contemplate the fact that "customer service" and "profit margin" are not the same thing and the first can lead to the second but it will never work the other way.

hhregg caries no aftermarket products, so basically they shoot themselves in the face. If I have to go somewhere else to get the cables I need, to get any sort of media, any peripherals, it would make more sense to just get it all somewhere else. hhgregg is super old-timey when people just hooked their TVs up to antennae and you bought your music at the record store.

Not the point dragon76. Even if it's only a portion of the their inventories that overlap, hhgregg is providing at least some competition in the marketplace for Best Buy which means that Best Buy can't dominate the market and set prices completely.
