doubleviking.com— Check out the new R-rated trailer for the motion-capture extravaganza Beowulf. It's like an ultra violent cartoon + nudity, and it's not even Japanese.

Robert Zemekis truly hates actors AND animators. This is the worst of both worlds. The actors were motion captured, but you never get to actually see them. Then the animators are forced to work through the mocap garbage rather than simply animate the performance. Look, either shoot a live action movie so we can see the actors, or just do an animated film that allows the animators to do the performance. Stop this hybrid crap. It's looks awful. Go see ANY Pixar film and you'll enjoy the wonders of animation much more than this.
If you're going to base something off of a real work, and title it as such..(example: Lord of the Rings) Then yes the quality of the movie is dependent upon how the director followed the representation of that work.

Yeah but the story will make you shoot yourself.
