i went to the alamo in austin a lot back in the 90s. They had some fun themed drinking - you'd buy a ticket to go see some classic blaxploitation movie and get a bottle of thunderbird, or a 40oz, with admission.
@Charlotte_WebJust like hockey, football, or baseball games, concerts, or any other event; no one gets drunk there, they are all there to watch. Ya right!
There are plenty of theaters that sell beer and pizza already across the US. This is not some novel idea. It's usually in smaller venues. Backlots 6 in Atlanta, Ga. Laurelhust theater(www.laurelhursttheater.com) in PDX. One in Beaverton, OR. had a mini Starbucks.
Portland, Oregon has a chain of micro beer pubs with about 12 unique locations...some in old historical buildings, one in a turn of the century movie house, and even one in a converted middle school. In both the old theater and the school, movies are shown, and you can eat restaurant food and drink great beer during the movie.

They charge three bucks for a soda. I'd hate to see what they would charge for a beer.

Haha, TODAY I took my kids to see Pirates III and enjoyed a beer while watching the film. I live in Japan.
